Install Chrome Themes To Microsoft Edge

Welcome, Everyone. Today we will see how to install themes to Microsoft Edge direct from Chrome Web Store.

Open Chrome Web Store Page in Edge Browser. search for the extension named “Get Crx”

The Extension will look like that, now just download it.

Now navigate to the Home page of the web store and choose your desired theme, note down theme id because this will require while uninstalling this theme. Now right click on add to chrome button.

Now click on “Get CRX of this extension”, Download crx file in the default download directory.

Now find recently downloaded crx file of your theme and open extension page of edge browser and then just drag and drop that crx file.

Now click on Add Theme.

Done! Your theme is successfully applied to Edge Browser.

Now it’s time to tell you how to uninstall this theme and this is not a simple process like chrome due to lack of “Reset to Default” button.

Now Close the Edge Browser.

now follow this path C:\users\username\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Edge SxS\User Data\Default

Open file named preferences.txt and press ctrl + f and type “theme”, you will find exact theme id here that we noted down before while installing of this theme, now delete this id (warning — don’t delete the double quotes).

Also, delete the theme from extension folder too.

Launch Edge and you will find that theme get uninstalled successfully.
