We always want to check the battery status of our windows device over time to see how much capacity is left or is there any need to change it or not. However, there are many third-party tools are available in the market which allows you to check battery stats in detail, some of them are paid too. Today I am gonna show you how you can check your battery stats in detail in windows using it’s terminal (Cmd, Powershell), I used cmd here but you can use PowerShell too.

Step 1: Open Cmd/Powershell as an Administrator. Right-click on the Start button and select cmd/PowerShell (admin).

Step 2: Now type “powercfg/batteryreport” and press enter key.

Step 3: You will see newly generated Html file which contains whole info of your battery, now just copy this address and paste it into the address bar of your browser and press enter.

Now you will notice the full charge capacity is lower than design capacity which is completely normal because as we use our device these lithium batteries tend to degrade over time. If you notice that charge capacity is too low then it’s time to replace your battery.
